1. Review the osteology of the bony orbit.
Dissection of the eye. Begin by reviewing the osteology. Review the seven bones that make up the bony walls of the orbit. Note the bones whose prominent feature as they relate to the orbital contents. The bones are outlined here. Major portions of the frontal, sphenoid, and zygomatic bones will have to be removed to expose the orbit.
